The flow of each session will begin with gathering around the fire circle to meet each other and share dreams. Enter the studio and find a work space as I begin a series of short demo’s on hand building, slab construction and wheel throwing. From these techniques you can create sculptures and a variety of vessel forms for the home and garden. As always there is a clay pit to explore. Dress for a mess.

Sessions are $60/each which includes all materials. You can sign up for the whole weekend ($180) or single sessions.

Scholarships are available and trade for time or goods. Please contact us directly to arrange. We really want to make this accessible to adults!

August 24: Glazing Day and Raku Firing

Morning session: 9-1pm — free

August 24 is glazing day and raku firing of work made the previous weekend. There are different techniques to glazing your work and some require your piece to be bisqued before glazing thus a week between sessions. You can also use underglazes on wet clay and NOT need to attend this session. Options will be demonstrated during class so you can decide how you’d like to glaze your work. Cost is included in previous sessions.
